  • Download my free ebook
  • Make an appointment

There are a number of ways to apply CTAs in your website and content. However, bad practices won’t garner the type of results you desire. Here are a few best practices to keep in mind when creating CTAs:

  • Short and sweet; Five words at most works best
  • Ensure the copy is visually impactful that compels visitors to click the offer
  • CTAs should action-oriented, begin with a verb like “Download” or “Register”
  • Located in an place that is easy to find and follows the flow of the webpage
  • Colours should be contrast from the colour scheme of the webpage, but still matches the overall design
  • Clear and easy to understand. Ensure you state exactly what the visitor will get once they click and are linked to the landing page

Remember the goal of inbound marketing is to provide relevant content to make a connection with your target audience. Once you make that connection you need to have their contact information to nurture that relationship. Ensuring that not only your content is aesthetically pleasing, but that the look of your CTAs are pristine and eye-catching will also go a long way in making people want to do the desired action. So ensure that the design, layout and images your’e using look professional and clean. Your CTA needs to compel your audience to save their information. So make it as pretty as possible.
